Assassin of Silence by Rick Holt

  1. Tag it.

I omitted the switch and left the 10µ on board in parallel with 390R. This one was mostly interesting because of the Babylon2.. (why no elektra layout?!?)

Two LPBs cascaded do indeed make a fuzz, but before this gets even near to a box, i think i'll experiment with adding a symmetric clipping. Other slight mod would be to omit the pot between two stages, as lowering that pot makes it dull and not so great overdrive. For fuzz, that needs to be maxed, so IMO, there's no need for that pot :)

Nice. But i think this needs some tweaking to make it into the fuzz monster it deserves to be.

Ok. I'm on to newer layouts next :)

    1. Yup. Did the mods and now this baby kicks some serious ass.

I omitted the drive control by taking the wire from 1st stage 100n out straight to second stage 100n input. The i took the second stage input and added two 1N4007s back to back from there to ground.

I didn't bother with power filter, but the noise levels suggest that it wouldn't do no harm.

Nice. Reaaally nice. Wondering if should box this with Babylon 2... :)

  2. Hey, Miro. Do you feel like doing a vero layout for this with your mods and a power filter? If not, I'll just wing it. :)

  4. Hi Miro,

Are these the mods you've meant?

    1. Basically yes. But i think one 100n (or ~56n) between stages should suffice...
